Recently I bought Essence - Glisten up. I saw some swatches online of it on its own, but I didn't like it much, but after I saw it layered over some more darker colors, and I was sold. It's a polish that's pretty sheer on its own, a sheer blue with blue-ish green flakes, shimmers and glitter. = Succes for pure awesomeness.

I layered it over Models own - Pure Purple. Love. Love love love. Close-ups next to the text!

MAC - Bad Fairy

Setting up a few blogposts before I go on vacation tomorrow.

This is Bad Fairy, my first MACpolish ever. I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. For 12 euro I expected a little more from it. I love the color, more about that later, but ugh, the application was not all that great, and the brush was of a bad quality. It's a shame.

Behhh.

But the color on the other hand! It's mainly a pink I think, it has copper, gold, mauve maybe? A lot of colors! This asks for more pics.

Hello again.

It's been a while, I know. But hopefully I'll be here more now. Going to Germany soon, planning on spending polishmoney, so all will be fine.

I want to make a post on my favorite polishes of the moment. Why? I don't know, just for fun. Maybe to give you all some ideas. And I just want to share. They're at random order, can't pick firsts or lasts. The colors are totally random. As you can see from the colorchartthing above. Enjoy! <3

1) Essie - Sew Psyched
I saw swatches online, and I was sold. I'm not a big greenfan, but this one somehow sparked my interest. I don't know why. I recently bought it, and I'm in love. It's charming on my skin and it looks like a creme, even though there's silver shimmers in there. Somewhere. You have to look very closely. Swatches soon.

2) Zoya - Kelly
I love grey. Love love love it. Almost every outfit I wear has some sort of grey in there. That's why Kelly's a natural choice for me. And it's a very fall-y and winter-y color.

3) Chanel Paradoxal
Does this need explaining? Great color, great application, great color, great concept. Way to go Chanel.

4) OPI - Fiercely Fiona
Weird yellow that looks great on my skin, what more is there to say! I also love pastels, they look so cute.

5) Essie - Mink Muffs
I always screamed out that brown looks awful on me. It still does, but not on my nails I guess. I tend to look sick with a brown shirt or so. But on my nails, ah. Mink muffs is a perfect taupe/brown, in my opinion.

6) Essie - Lapis of Luxury
Can't describe the color, I just know I love it só much. Is this blurple? I don't know.

7) OPI - Flower to Flower
Pink. Barbie pink. But I don't like barbie, so just pink. I love it, the shimmer is great also.

8) OPI - Suzy says Feng Shui
The perfect shade of blue. I think it's perfect for fall. This was a spring-collection polish right? I think it would be better for fall, but that's just me. Still greaaat.

9) Nubar - Indigo Illusion
Did I post this here yet? I should. I love this duochrome, or multichrome, not sure. I love every color in it, and the shimmer. Yum.

10) Color Club - Revvvolution
Holo! I used to say holo's are not for me. I guess I changed my mind! In combination with grey/black, I love it the most. I'm taking it with me on vacation next week. <3

China Glaze - Riveter Rouge and new camera!

It's been a while again. Poop. I was just so busy.
Good news, I got a better camera! A canon eos 1000D. And I'm so happy! It photographs like the best. Well, probably not the best, but the best I've ever had! That's why I put Frodo in the top picture. He's nothing to do with the polish, but I liked the picture.

On to the more exciting stuff for you.

I got this polish a while ago, it was one of the three Vixens I wanted. It really got my interest. I love the color, a deep dark red, with a little hint of brown. It has silver and gold glitter. People call it realllly chunky glitter, but I just put one coat of topcoat on there, David, and I didn't notice any chunkyness. It was smooth and I thought it was just gorgeous.

And it just lit up in the sun! Sadly, the only ray of sun I got was on my way to school, and I didn't bring my camera. Poo >:

OPI - Flower to flower

Hello everyone! It's been a little while again. Gah. I pimped my room. Blingbling style.
Not really, I just moved my bed, closets and TV. And it looks great. My room looks even more spacious. But my polishes are hidden in my helmer now, I can't use my mongolian hangthing anymore for a while. >:

Anywho, I finally got it! Flower to flower! The polish I've wanted ever since I saw the swatches, but as soon s I wanted to order it, it was n/a. And in Holland they don't sell it. Gah, FML.

It's a gorgeous pink with a subtle shimmer. A silver shimmer. Application was good once again. Yes, good polish. Good pink, not just the regular stuff. Worth the wait!

Models own - Top Turquois

I wore this polish a few days ago and made swatches after. This is a great Models Own polish, the color is really stunning and I think it's quite unique.

It's turquoise, as you can see. Or is it teal? Actually, I think it's inbetween, if Google is to be trusted. It applied okay, a little on the thick side (That's why it's all over my hands), and it didn't dry thát great. But the color really makes it up to me.

I have a question for my bloggers. I tried cleaning up my nails with a brush, like the tutorial on Lacquerized. But it just doesn't work on me. What could be it? That I don't have pure acetone? Or not the right brush? What brushes do you use to do this?

Catrice - Meet me at Coral Island

I've had this color for a while now, and I still had to use it. It looks kind of orange, but not orange enough for me to hate it.

I hardly ever use Catrices, I really don't know why. I grab my OPI's a lot more often. But Catrice has a great quality for the amount of money you pay for them. They cost 2,49, and it's actually not a small bottle of polish.

Anywho. I loved it. Then I put Gosh Rainbow over it. Then I hated it.

Essie - Mink Muffs

I apologize for the terrible picture. It looks too red and guh.

As I told you, I also got this polish, and I'm so excited! It's a warm, dark taupe. I think it's already on the edge of being brown. The polish dries a tad bit darker than it looks like in the bottle, I experience that with most taupes.

Dryingtime was excelent, I love the color. I think I'll be using this color a lot more from now on, it looks really subtle.

They say this one is a dupe of Chanel Particuliere, but it's a little more warm, as of what I see in pictures. But this polish completely took away my need for this Chanel.

Essie - Lapis of Luxury

Hello again. Today was my first day of school. I really didn't want to go. Meh. But my polish made me a lot happier and excited.

It's Lapis of Luxury by Essie. I wanted this polish, but with my last order, they didn't have this one. Sad panda. And then I saw it in store, with a little discount, and I had to get it. Money well spent.

The color is a lavenderish blue. It's a little more purple than it is on the photo, I tried to capture the color but my camera hates purples (I have to get a better camera). I don't think I have something excactly like this one. Application was great, this was 2 or 3 coats, not sure.

OPI - Rumple's Wiggin'

Hellooo.

Today I'm showing you Rumple's Wiggin'. I've wanted this polish for a while now, and it was my last polish I needed for the Shrek collection, so I bought it in the store (Wallet says auch!), but it was worth it.

It's a pretty, really light lavender shade. I really like it, even though pastels and purples don't always work on my skin. I think this one did. I don't own a polish like it, so this is a good one.

Application was great, dryingtime was great as well. Just everything I'm used to with OPI. It only didn't dry as glossy as I like my polishes, but a good topcoat helps that.

On another note. I was going so great with not purchasing polishes this month. But today I felt so crappy, school's starting tomorrow and I thought of Puk today. So I went to La Bourse. Just to watch, they never have lots of polishes, and F me, today they did. Lots of Essies. I bought Mink Muffs and Lapis of Luxury. Swatches later on!

China Glaze - Foxy

My nails seem super uneven, it's the shade, really.

I really like this color, it's brown-ish orange. I think. It's a real fallshade, but a really pretty one. I'm not a fall-shades person, they usually make me look sick. But this one is stunning. I love the color, but I don't know if it's 'me'. You know? I think I'll keep it, but maybe not wear it as much. I'd love to wear it during the fall, when the leafs go brown. Maybe make some pics then, I might let you know.

The bottle is more showing what it looks like in real life. Great shade. Great.

And it's getting better and better, the area around my nails. Less red, less skin-y, less everything! Can you see it? Only my pinky is struggling.

OPI - Color to Watch

Here's another color from the Swiss collection from OPI.

Great color in the bottle, duochrome, I think. But the color is pretty sheer, even for my taste. It's a bit more purple than it is on the picture. Gorgeous color, but I think it's better for layering.

Application was great again. But this color is not a favorite of mine.

Hm, love the name-connection with Swiss, with the Watch, thing.

China Glaze - Classic Camel

Here's the polish that, in my opinion, is the most hated shade of the Vintage Vixen collection, but is loved in the end. I've heared that Classic Camel is n/a at lots of places, but on this forum I'm in, everyone hates it with a great passion.

I loved it. After seeing swatches on All Lacquered Up, I fell in love. The way she photographed her nails made the polish look so charming, the shimmer just great. So I purchased it.

I loved it even more than I thought it would. Not really a wow-color, but still. The application was great, for such a light color. I love how the shimmer came out. Ah. Love. Fave'd.

Zoya - Midori

Old swatch-time!

I wore this polish back in my holiday in Turkey (Saying like it's that long ago, about a month, to be really honest). It was great weather, and the color really came through. It's a green polish with yellow shimmer. It was great for the vacation. Too bad the polish didn't survive too long on my nails, though.

Application was good, needed a few layers, but eh.

China Glaze - Laced up

Hell, why not. Another pink.

This is a color I wanted for a while, and I finally got it. It's Laced up. A pretty creme pink. When I first saw it, I thought the color would go flat on my skin, really unflattering, but when I put it on, it shines, sort of. The pretty and cuteness really come out.

It's really one of the cutest pinks I own.

Application wasn't ideal, a liiittle on the thick side. But the color was cute. I'm content.

OPI - Kinky in Helsinki

I love the color, sadly the color isn't accurate, didn't know the camera used. But the color is gorgeous, application was great and drying time was good. Everything I always say about OPI applies here.

OPI - Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous!

So, this is swatch number one of my haul.

I like this color. I don't love it, it's not going on my favorite-spot. But it does look nice. It makes my nails look silver-y. The base is quite dark, but the glitters/shimmers lighten the color up. Is this a foil? I don't know, I'm not a big finishperson. I always confuse everything.

It is a nice color, that's for sure, I have nothing alike in my stash. I think it lights up great in the sun, but it's not too sparkly.

.. For not posting as much as I'd like. I have a lot going on in my life right now.

The biggest thing is that Puk, my cat has been found. Under a tree in my neighbours garden. He died. We don't know the cause, but I'm so sad. Só sad. I don't feel like doing anything. But yeah, that's one of the biggest reasons for not blogging as much.

Also, I've started with a new diet, which comes in harder than I thought. But I'm doing good, but it's making me tired.

OPI - And this little piggy

I bought this polish for my own birthday. I saw in the store and I thought it looked really cute. It's a pink polish with lots of really small glitters.

I applied it on my hand and I was a little dissapointed at one coat, it made my nails look really yellow underneath. You know? It's really sheer, so you could see my nailline and it looked yellow. But it got better with more coats.

It's really sheer, the picture above is 5 coats, maybe even 6. But I still love it. But it got me thinking, maybe it's great for layering.

OPI - Ogre the top blue

I've wanted this color for a while now (I say that a lot D:) But every time I bought polish, I forgot I wanted this one. I bought this of the same online buddy I bought Give me the moon! from. And again, I luv it. Luv, yes, luv.

Everything went great. The application was great, two or three coats were enough and it slided on my nails. It dried pretty quickly. The color. Wow. It's so blue. A beautiful blue, one I've loved forever.

The only downside was that this color was hard to photograph. I had to stand in the shade and make a terrible picture to capture the color the way it is. Well, it's actually a little lighter (It looked right on my camera)

Pf, I need to make a blogpost about a polish that's so-so, this AAAH-MAZING gets tiring.

OPI - Give me the moon

Ha. I finally got my hands on this beauty, thanks to an online nailpal.

I saw it in real life and I had to put it on my nails, so gorgeous. In the bottle it looks gray, maybe a little bluetint in it. And when you hold it in the right light, you get a lavender lilac-ish shimmer. It's gorgeous.

It is a sheer polish, not a big deal for me, could be for you. This is 4 or 5 layers, could have used another one, you could see my nailline. Ahwell! Love it anyways. It applies on really smooth and nicely.

Herôme - Shanghai

I'm really sorry for the picture. It looks like my hands are holy, I just need a halo and the picture is done. I used 3 (!!!) different camera's, and the only one capturing the color right, was my telephone.

This is Shanghai. It's a sort of dark pink. I don't know what it is about this color, I like it, but it doesn't seem so summer-y. I never think of summer in colors, I wear black in the summer, vampy dark colors, I don't care, I wear it in the summer, but this. I don't know, I think I'll like it more in the winter. But the color suits me.

The application was great, it was easy to put on. The dryingtime was great as well. Good polish overall, but it just doesn't seem a summer type of color. And I never say that with pinks ;(

Holographic topcoat by China Glaze and Frodo!

The other day I bought the Holographic topcoat by China Glaze. I put it over Dust & Diamonds of H&M, the one I had on yesterday, and I loved the result. It makes the polish look really holographic. Which was a surprise to me, you can;t see anything in the bottle to be fairly honest.

Haha, it's funny, I thought of this earlier and after that someone else pointed it out to me, about 4 months ago I said holo's didn't do anything for me. I had TMI by China glaze. I loved it the first time, the second time not so much anymore, and the third time I used it in a swap. Didn't like it anymore. Then I bought Holographic by Gosh, and that didn't do anything for me either, the holo dulled out after a day and I thought it was me. No more holo's for me.

But I fell in love with them again (I want a Nfuh Oh holo <3). And this topcoat can make anything a holo polish.

H&M - Dust & Diamonds

Sorry for not posting! First, I went on a holiday (And didn't mention it, internetparanoia, you never know who reads it), then when I came home, we got a puppy (I will post pics soon), and then I celebrated my birthday. Finally, a day of rest!

I went to the H&M the other day, and I saw they had new polishes. This taupe and yellow, and some other colors. I decided to go for the taupe one. Couldn't buy it myself, sadly enough, so it's a gift.

Today I decided to put it on my nails. I have a weakness for taupes. At first, I thought taupes were yucky and ugly and beh (Sorry if I insult you by saying this). But then I put one taupe on my nails for the first time and I fell in love. It's such a flattering color. Almost all taupes look good on me.

The application was good, this is two coats. It dried quickly. As you see, the color in the bottle is slightly lighter than the color on my nails. This is how it also looks in real life, I think it's about two shades darker. I like it.

OPI - Teal the cows come home

I loved this color from the start. Because of the name. I'm a sucker for funny names. I have no idea what the name originally is from. I don't care, the name says cows.

This color is so good for me. I love blue, I love shimmers, I love cute colors. To me, this is all of that. Meh, can;t find anything wrong with it, it's a little sheer, but I don't mind sheer. The formula was good. Meh, love.

OPI - Chick Flick Cherry

Ahh. Summer. And still wearing non-summer colors. Love it.

As you might know, I love red. Red dresses, red nails, red blog. Ah, red. So, I knew I would love this polish. The photo isn't that color accurate. It's more pink. It really looks like an actual cherry. It's as deep as it looks on my nails, but a little pinker, yes.

I love it, not quite sure if it's a creme or a jelly, but I can live with that. I think this would be a great christmascolor. With a little Fairy Dust over it, ah. Love.

The application was okay, but I think that was mostly because my fan is going like crazy. Oh, and please don't mind the shitty look of the polish, I accidentally sat on my hand while the polish was not dry yet.

I guess my blogposts are being read, because NailXL read my post about my goal for the summer, and offered to send me a little help. In the form of anti bite nailstuff.

I have experience with this stuff. Like bite-ex. I hated that. Bite-ex, I think, is fairly low-budget. But that's noticeable. I didn't bite my nails anymore, but I didn't eat anymore either. Why, you ask? That formula, at least, in the 90's, had the awesome ability to give taste to everything you touch. I think that's some kind of superpower. Bite-ex gives you superpower. It makes your food taste terrible. And it washed off with water.

I've tried Herôme's anti-bite stuff too, but as I recall, it dried up really fast and I wasn't able to use it anymore. Ahwell. I stopped biting my nails on willpower, not nasty stuff.

Sooo I tried this stuff. Golden Rose No more bite. The packaging (Shoot, I forgot to photograph it. I still have it though) looked really good, pretty luxorious. The Golden Rose bottle has a pink substance in it. It looks really sweet.

The application was great, just smeared up on there. I don't know about the drying time, didn't mind it.

How about the taste you ask?
Yuck. Just. Yuck. No. No. I don't want to bite my skin or peel my polish off anymore. Yuck, it was gross. Which is excactly the meaning, of course. I don't think the taste comes off with water, at least not a hand wash. My food still tasted great. So in my book, this is great anti-bite stuff.

Bottom line, Golden Rose - No more bite is better, but Bite-ex gives you superpowers.

OPI Ink

So, I got my new polishes the other day, and I was so excited! Yay for OPI, my favorite brand.

I was most interested in 3 colors, OPI Ink was one of them. It looked so interesting in the bottle, purple fading out to blue, really dark but really shiny. Not really a summer-y color, but I never think about that. Or matching, as you can see in the pic (Haha, bright dress).

Anywho! The color was really, really interesting. In the shade, the color was purple with shimmer, and in the sunlight it really looked like ink, deep blue. But in the sun, the purple was completely gone, that really surprised me. Is this what blurple is?

You can see the purple vs blue really well on the left picture. The top two nails are more purple, and the bottom two are more blue. A very interesting color, I'll try it out more when it gets colder.

Eyeko - Tea rose

Goodday everyone!

I was gone throughout the weekend (I was so glad Blogspot has the option to make your posts and you just enter the day you want to post the blog), and on monday I got home. On tuesday, my mom left a note with two envelopes, saying, surprise!

One was from NailXL, more about that in the near future, the other one was from Eyeko.

I've been watching Eyeko for a long time, for the polish, ofcourse (I don't do any other makeup). And I decided just to buy a set. I really wanted to try Tea Rose, it looked so unusual.

Let me start with the color. It is gorgeous in sunlight or just in the shade. It looks gross in yellow light though, but we only have that in the toilet here. It is a really soft color. What do you call it? Old pink? I don't know, but it seems to look like taupe colors look on my skin, really soft and flattering.

On the downside, the polish was really goopy. It applied smooth, but it really didn't work that well. Nothing that thinner can't fix though, and with a little topcoat, you can't see any flaws. Oh, and I did thick coats (goopy yay), but it was a one-coater. That's a good thing I guess!

Aaah, I had a haul 2 weeks ago, I think. I had to buy stuff for others and I had to buy some things for myself as well.

Among other polishes, I bought this one. Pink kitty. A pretty, cute, creme pink. I loved the bottle and the pink as well, I have lots of pinks, but none like this one.

The application was good. I think it needed two coats, I did three anyways. Just to finish it. I didn't do a top coat, partly because I wanted to shower and Seche Vite does something weird then, and partly because the polish is so shiny on its own, it doesn't need topcoat.

It didn't dry so well, but I don't know if that's because of the polish or if it was because of the weather, it's really damp. I hear more girls complain about polish not drying in this weather, more than in wintertime.

Overall I love this polish, cute pink, it looks flattering on my skintone. I think the color is a little more deep than the photo's might show, but my camera is being weird the last few weeks.

Downside was that the polish peeled off like one of those peel off masks. But again, it might be because it didn't dry well because of the weather.

Zoya Adina

Hello everyone.

A few days ago I wore Zoya - Adina. I got it from my most recent internetorder, and I love it. On the pictures I thought it was gorgeous already, but as it seems, the color online isn't that accurate. Not that I do it any better, it's really a hard color to capture.

This gorgeous color seems to have a lilac/purple base (At least, I think so, it looks like that on the back of my nails, I just see lilac there). And in the shade, it's really duochrome. When you look at it, you just see green, and when you turn your nails you see purple/copper. Beautiful.

In the sun it kind of transforms, it really is purple/lilac in the sun, with light green shimmer. No duochrome, really just shimmer. This was a nice surprise.

Herea re some pictures where I've tried to capture the duochrome, but that is reaaally hard to do.

Overall I love this polish. It's really pretty and not a very bright color. It's a little sheer, but I think it's good enough at three coats, though some people might want a fourth. It's not nearly as sheer as ORLY - Fantasea. And I really do think you have to see this polish in real life to see its full potential, it's more gorgeous than all pictures I've seen online.

The polish stays on my nails for a rather long time, it doesn't peel of that easily. Which is a great thing. Love it.

Hello everyone!

As I told before, I found this cute store with China Glaze polishes nearby.
I wanted this polish from the Wizard of Oh Ahz from China Glaze for a long time. And they had it, it made me so happy.

I decided to wear it a few days ago. I loved it, it's not the warmest or deepest purple ever, it seems to lean a little more to blue than it does to red, but that doesn't matter. It has really small glitters in it, I couldn't stop looking! Mind you, the polish is more the color my skirt is on the top right, next to my nail. My camera flips out about purple.

And I had a matching skirt. Ha. Which is rare. I'm known for not matching. Ever. At all.

I hate this name. OPI. Gargantuan Green Grape Matte with CND Jade Sparkle over it.
I don't really like OPI GGG Matte on its own, I like the regular version a lot better, it's lighter. So I decided to add the CND Jade Sparkle, which I wanted to try ever since I got it.

The effect, to me, is stunning. It adds green and yellow sparkles to the polish. I think these are glass flecks, not sure though, but the finish is really smooth and easy to remove from your nails, no real glitter or anything.

In the shadow it's almost as stunning as it is in the sunlight, you don't see lots of green sparkles, but lots of yellow.

Kaleidoscope him out

I found this store nearby my school that's been there for a while, but I never went in. Not before someone said they sold China Glaze. So I raced over there, and I discovered that they have loooots of amazing polishes. Some HTF too. They have two way stripers, China Glaze, Goldenrose and much more.

I saw they had some polishes from the Kaleidoscope collection from China Glaze, I wasn't interested at first, and I told DeltaCephei that I saw these at the store, knowing how much she wanted them, and bought one for myself as well.

I had some China Glazes from the OMGcollection, but those are not nearly as holo as the ones from the Kaleidoscope collection. Also, the holoparticles don't seem to be as small as they are in OMG, and the holo effect is much bigger.

By the way, I really do think the polish looks like a kaleidoscope on your fingers.

China Glaze - QT

This is China Glaze - QT. It's a holo polish. In the shade, to me, it looks a little bit purpleish pink, and in the sun it's just a holo pink. I love it. I seem to be more into the bright holo's. The ones that stand out. This one is no exception.

In the picture, it does not look thát holo, but trust me, it is.

OPI - Fiercely Fiona

I got Fiercely Fiona with my new package. And I loved it. I had doubts even just before I got the package about the color. On some swatches, it's really green, and on others it's pretty and yellow. I didn't like it on the green-ish swatches, so I had to wait and see.

So I put it on my nails, and I instantly loved it. It's a pretty yellow, really hard to describe. In some yellow lights, it does look a bit green, but I can live with that.

I think the color is right between being pastel and real yellow. It's really unique. And I love it. Yet another color that has to be a new fave.

As some of you might know, I'm a heavy biter. 9 months ago, I bit my nails until they bled, and I stopped because I started painting my nails. My nails look lovely now and are rather strong.

But, I still bite the skin around my cuticles and stuff. It already looks nasty irl, and it looks worse on my macropictures. (I airbrush my pictures D: ) My fingertips look red. I don't bite it as much as I used to, it doesn't bleed anymore, but I really need to stop.

So, this is my summer project. Stop biting my skin. I will take pics tonight and by the end of the summer, I will post a before and after, and hopefully my skin will become more calm and healthy. I'm going to use lots and lots of Flutter and Hand creme. If any of you have more tips on how to do this, every tip is welcome!

This was one of the first polishes I have bought since my 'polish madness' started, and I never used it. It was too pink and too bright and too much not me. That idea mostly creeped into my head because my fingers are so red (Too much trauma for my fingers throughout the years and I just stopped biting my nails). I tried to swap it for better stuff, but I never really did.

Sooo I decided to try it on anyways. And I love it. It's one of the most shiny polishes I have ever tried.

The color of the picture isn't really accurate, my camera and stuff. *Curses on camera*. Makes this color more orange-y than it really is.

This is more like it (Not my hand, and I have no idea whose it is, if you know or are this person, please tell me, I'll credit you right away!)

Sorry, this entry is in Dutch, it concerns my cat being lost.

Mijn Puk is kwijt, mijn lieve kat die altijd erbij kwam zitten als ik nagels ging lakken of ging chatten of wat dan ook.

Puk is een slanke kater van rond de 5 jaar. Het is een cyperse kat met een roze neusje. Hij is helaas erg bang en zal schrikken als je hem benadert. Hij krabt of bijt nooit. Zijn ogen zijn altijd best groot.
Hij is vermist in Rotterdam centrum/west.

So. I will repost this with better pictures, no worries there. I just really want to blog about this polish I have wanted for aaages. And then someone bought it for me <3
I was not amused, since he paid the full retail price for it (14 euros). But I LOVE IT.

I love this color. It is more green than I thought, but I love it. It's a deep green creme, but also a bit. Dusty is the word I think. It is certainly one of my new faves.

Hello!

Today I'll be showing you one of my two new favorite polishes.
Wing it!

A week ago I received a package with new polish. I didn't get to see all of them, I made a deal at home that I wouldn't order before I finished school, I did, so I sent them out on a sleepover elsewhere. A long sleepover. 2 week long sleepover.
I didn;t get to see any of them.
Sooo, I made a deal with my mom that I would get one. That one was Wing it!.
I saw it and I fell in love. It's such an unusual color. In some lights it's pink, and in some it's red. And in other lights it's orang-y. I love it. It has blue/purple shimmer, which is totally unique in my opinion. I never saw it elsewhere.

Here you see the shimmer very well, you can also see how pretty and pink it is, and how much it looks like a duochrome in the bottle (See the orange towards the sides)

Collistar - Viola Glitter

Hey everyone!

For my entry today, I'm showing you Viola Glitter from Collistar. You might have seen the name around. I saw the polish on Lacquerized.com and I fell in love immediatly. Thing was, the polish was really expensive. But yesterday I decided I could spoil myself for once, and just bought the polish.

Viola Glitter is a beautiful purple polish with very tiny glitter. It seems duochrome to me, in the bottle I see gold, red and lighter purple glows on the glitter.

I absolutely love everything on the polish. It dries up so fast and it covers my nail almost entirely on the second coat. I did a third one anyways. It makes me want to look at my nails all the time. Gorgeous.

Another good point, it doesn't peel of my nails. All mani's I've done the last few months just peeled off my nails, and this one doesn't. Great plus. 5/5. To me.

It did make my camera flip out. Hah.
I really need to do a workshop in photography. Gees, my pictures are bad.

Blue Moonglo

I need to blog more. I've just been so busy lately, with everything.
I have a lot of new polish, and I love them all. But I will be showing you one of my serious favorites.

H&M - Denim Dreams with Diamond Cosmetics - Blue moonglo. The H&M polish is not my fav, I just didn't have any other lightblue polish (Changed that soon after).

It's about the glitter, Blue Moonglo. Gees. I was looking for a Glow-in-the-dark polish for such a long time. Why? I don't know, glow in the dark always made me happy and cheerful. And a few weeks ago I went to a polish-meet, and Stormqueen just gave it to me. I tried it on as soon as possible.

It's really sweet and blue-ish. In the bottle, it looks really light blue, leaning towards green. With glitters, AND it's glowing in the dark. I tried to capture this here:

But the glitter looks stunning on blue polish. It's a real eye-catcher to me. The formula did get thicker while I was working though, but the Glow made up for it.

I'll try to blog and photograph my nails more. Hope to see you soon again.

Black market tomorrowww + Stash

And I'm so happy to go again. It's lots of fun to go to the black market in Beverwijk. Lots of things to see, lots of people to see, lots of things to buy. It's a shame you can't buy polish there. Good colors, that is. Ahwell, I'll get over it.
Especially since there are lots of stands with chinese people with nailsalons (Sorry for the prejudice stuff, but it's really true!) who do awesome nailart for 10 euros. They can't do all designs on my nails, since most of them are made for wider nails (I have really narrow nails) and really long, acrylic/gel nails. I have neither of those D: But still, I love a funky design done on my nails, so I won't complain.
I'll show you the results of my happy nails tomorrownight or the day after.

Aaand I went out yesterdaynight, and since I'm not doing my nails today, since I'm getting a nice mani tomorrow, I re-did my stash. I also made a list of most of the polishes I have, I left some out, because they are old and really, I don't use them anymore.

First, say hello to the biggest part of my stash, which I use the most and love the most. My camera doesn't really love them, fuck the camera.

Now, I will post some pics of my stash. Line by line. :3 I'm seriously sorry for the crappy pics, but my camera has been dropped a few too many times, and the lighting was baddd.

Holo polishes

I'm starting to believe that I'm the only one who isn't that big of a fan of Holographic polishes. I don't know why, they always seem blend on my skin, and there is so much going on. No, I like my polishes in a nice and bright color, without holo.
If I do wear a holo, I always wear a topcoat, which seems to be a deadly sin when it comes to wearing holo's, but if I don't, I really don't like them on me.

I own a few holo polishes, H&M SInful Senorita. I really didn't like it on my, it made the polish really blend with my skin. And my skin seemed really red. Guh. So I gave that one to my mom.

I also have China Glaze TMI. I thought it looked really nice on me, really eyecatching (With a topcoat). But then I started wearing more popping colors, and now it seems really blend, once again. Gees, what is this with me ;( It's the one on the right.

Sooo. I guess I'll have to stick with brighter colors, to make myself happy. And my mom, she hates the fact I keep changing my polish.

Well, other stuff now. I'm getting my sticky topcoat soon *happy panda*. Hopefully, my polish will stay on my nails longer, because this crap with polish I have to replace everyday gets old. This way, I get to wear my favorite polishes longer <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b338/Aetza/Nagels/blueuniversecolor.jpg">that color, but it peels off after 2 minutes.

AND it's almost the 14th, meaning, I get my money, meaning, I can buy another KoHpolish (You might heared of this brand, the overpriced Dutch polish, but I love the colors so much). I promised myself I could buy one every month. Because of the price.
I bought my first last month. Blue universe (Left and bottom pic). And I love it. It's a deep, dark, blue-purple color with a green undertone, with silver glitter and flakes. (Please don't mind the bright orange cuticle on the picture, I just removed bright pink polish, but my hands are still totally pink/orange-y. Very annoying and unflattering on photo)

*Gees, every time I typed Holo's, I typed Homo's. Wtfisdisshit*

I also need to tell you about one of the most favorite polishes I own.
OPI Koala bear-y. It's pink. And it's so wonderful. I Don't know why, it just looks charming with my skin. I think it has to be that.

I love it. I don't own it that long, but every time I want to polish my nails again, I want to grab that one. But then again, it seems that OPI is my most favorite brand of polish. Most people I know looove China Glaze to death, but it's just not it for me. I don't have a lot of OPI (Another order is on it's way, hellzyeah), but every bottle I own, I fell in love with.

Also, today, I think I found a new love.
Koh.
It's expensive, 15 euro's per bottle. But today I decided to spoil myself. I promised myself I could do that once a month, buy one bottle and spoil myself.

I will post pictures tomorrow, I hope you'll like the color as much as I do. I won't tell too much about it now, I'll suprise you.

I realllly want to order some polish online. Problem is, I'm going to London in 2/3 weeks, it's not so smart to spend all my moneys on polish, and go to London empty-handed.

I really want to order.

I have another problem, I only seem to want pink/red polishes, probably because I really can't find any polishes that are as great.

Sooo, I was wondering, dear followers. Do you have tips on polish? Please, keep it non-suede, non-pink and non-red. And non-nude. Please. That would help a lot.

Also, do you have nice stores in London where they sell (preferably cheap) nail polish?

Hello everyone, welcome to Other kind of brush.
Why this weird name? Well. I'm sort of an artist (It's too big a title to call myself that, let's just say, I love to draw), where you use brushes in photoshop to draw, or while painting to make. Well, a painting. Now I'm making a blog for an other kind of brush, the nailpolishbrush. There you have it!

I usually don't work with blogspot, but since everyone else with nailpolishblogs are using Blogspot. I will too, makes it a little easier. Right?

So, I will be posting my nails here. And maybe more, I don't know, I love to blog about stupid, useless stuff. Forgive me!

Sooo yesterday I hurt my finger. I cut myself with my umbrella (As soon as you get to know me, you'll see this is typical Ren). And it didn't hurt or bother me, so I didn't use a bandaid. I'm a big girl, big girls don't do bandaids.
So this morning my bed was a little bloody. I ignored it. And then I went out to do some groceryshopping, and yeah. The cut started bleeding again. We didn;t have any bandaids in the house, figures, so I just went to the grocerystore and wanted to get some bandaids. They only had the kind you have to cut to the right size, crazy as I am, I don't have scizzors with me all the time. So I had to get kiddybandaids. I feel so badass right now.
